Tracking down small aquatic creatures in Dave the Diver is essential for completing side quests and building up your collection. Among the various micro-fauna scattered throughout the underwater world, the Dwarf Seahorse frequently causes confusion for players trying to finish the Catch the Runaway Seahorses quest. Knowing its exact hiding spot and having the proper gear ready saves plenty of unnecessary diving time.

Where to Find the Dwarf Seahorse Location

Unlike many fish species that swim freely in the open waters of the Blue Hole, the Dwarf Seahorse is located specifically inside the Sea People Village. Players looking for this target must make their way to the lower level of the village settlement.

Head towards the far left side of the lower level until you reach the Seed Shop building. The Dwarf Seahorse rests right inside the interior room of the shop rather than floating around the main village streets.

Required Tools and Catching Requirements

Attempting to grab the Dwarf Seahorse with standard diving weapons or bare hands will not work. Players must complete the Reticent Girl sub-mission earlier in the game to unlock the Bug Net tool.

Once equipped with the Bug Net, simply approach the small seahorse inside the Seed Shop and use the capture prompt. The net allows Dave to capture tiny creatures cleanly without harming them or reducing their rating.

Completing the Catch the Runaway Seahorses Quest

Finding the Dwarf Seahorse is one of four main objectives given by Linchen in the Game Parlor. The other three runaway seahorses include the Hedgehog, Giraffe, and Crowned variants located in nearby village areas.

After securing all four creatures with your Bug Net, return to Linchen at the parlor to hand them in. Completing this favor rewards players with Sea People trust points and opens up access to Seahorse Racing minigames.

Tips for Racing and Inventory Management

Captured seahorses can be retained in your personal inventory to participate in future village race events. Keep in mind that carrying extra creatures adds weight to your diving gear until they are transferred to your race team or used as ingredients.

Checking individual stats before registering seahorses helps build a competitive racing roster. Searching indoor locations systematically ensures you never miss rare target species during your exploration runs.
